I studied Heritage Interpretation as a postgraduate student, volunteered in the Education Department at National Museum Wales and was an Intern with the Interpretation team at the Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto. I also trained as a primary school teacher, lectured for 21 years and wrote articles about audience development.

 

As a consultant I have developed Interpretation, Learning, Audience Development and Activity Plans to support National Lottery Heritage Fund applications and undertaken audits and evaluations of exhibitions, activities and learning programmes.

Recent commissions include: a demand analysis of the potential education market and development of a cross curricula programme for the Emirates Aviation Attraction in Greenwich and Activity Plans for Oldham Heritage & Arts Centre, Darlington Civic Theatre and Archbishop of York’s Palace, Southwell, all of which received funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
