Broomfield Park – Unlocking Broomfield Park for the Community

Client: Enfield Council
Dates: 2020-2023
Budget: £532,490 (Delivery Phase Grant)
Project: Broomfield Park Regeneration
The “Unlocking Broomfield Park for the Community” project seeks to restore the Grade II listed Broomfield Park, focusing on dismantling the derelict shell of Broomfield House and reconnecting it to the park through memorialisation, interpretation, and landscaping. The project will also restore the Baroque water garden and create a shared vision for the park’s future, involving the local community in its development.
Alix Slater Consultancy worked with Enfield Council’s Capital Projects Team for nearly three years, collaborating with Historic England to develop an Expression of Interest, drafting the activity plan in response to community feedback, and preparing a successful Development Phase application. This work resulted in securing £532,490 from The National Lottery Heritage Fund to fund a Development Phase which will enable the Council to apply for a grant to deliver the project.
