Project description:
I worked with the Head of Education at the National Gallery on a number of projects over 3 years including:
- evaluations of the nationally acclaimed ‘Take One Picture’ initiative
- family workshops
- a pilot project to enable trainee teachers to spend placements in the Gallery
- an outreach project with young mothers as part of the Gallery’s HLF application to save the picture, Madonna of the Pinks
- artist in residence projects with partners including the Laing Art Gallery, Tyne & Wear Museums and Bristol Museum & Art Gallery.
I worked closely with the Department to agree the most appropriate methodologies including interviews, face to face and postal surveys and wrote reports which were shared internally and with funders and used to inform future practice.
