Project: Evaluation of a National: Regional Loan Project

I undertook evaluations for the London Hub’s National: Regional Loan Project’ at the Museum of Croydon (Dragon’s Tales exhibition) and Freud Museum (Objects in Mind exhibition). The exhibition at Croydon Museum combined loans from the British Museum with the town’s own exceptional collection of Chinese ceramics. The Freud Museum’s exhibition was inspired by the loan of Maggi Hambling’s self portrait from the National Portrait Gallery.

The project was supported by MLA Renaissance London and this strand of evaluation sought to find out if the exhibitions encouraged new audiences at the sites, or inspired visitors to go to the partner organisations. The first phase therefore focused on collecting baseline data whilst the second tranche measured the outcomes of the two exhibitions against these.
